You heave a sigh beneath your sanctuary of blankets and gather enough effort to face the day. This morning I read form Romans 8. "For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?"
That drowsy feeling of wishing to sleep for now and eternity is merely our bodies saying how long Lord. But each day is a new start to something exciting and wonderful. Each day is an opportunity to bring glory to a God so wonderful that he shares his glory and power with us. So take in the sweet sunshine and enjoy the day. But be ever conscious that we are here on this earth but a short time. We are merely visitors.
